Experimental study and numerical simulation on powerful wind turbine cooling system
摘要
Abstract
Cooling system is an important component of wind turbine system,the performance of which is a significant measurement of generator that whether it would be in safe and reliable operation.In this paper an experimental bench was established and a cooling performance of 3 MW wind turbine cooling system under 100% load condition was studied.And then numerical method was applied to propose optimization solutions such as increasing the flow of ethylene glycol,reducing glycol inlet temperature,increasing air flow rate and using hollow wire cooling method.The result of experimental study shows that the temperature of 100% load experiment exceeded the range of working requirement,therefore system optimization is needed.Hollow wire cooling method is the optimal solution and it has good performance in the high-temperature region,which can meet the design requirement of generator.Research methods and conclusions of this paper will provide reference value for experimental and theoretical studies of wind turbine cooling system.关键词
