Abstract
Objective:To explore clinical treatment efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and western medicine (WM) in treating patients with sudden deafness.Methods:Forty two patients with sudden deafness admitted by from the outpatient service and the inpatient department of this hospital from August 2011 to August 2013were selected as research subjects,who randomly divided into the experiment group and the controlled group according to different methods of treatment,patients in the controlled group were subjected to WM treatment,and patients in the experiment group were subjected to the treatment combining TCM and WM on the basis of that applied on patients in the controlled groups,clinical treatment efficacies and adverse reactions of patients in two groups were compared.Results:Clinically,the total effective rate of patients in experiment group was significantly higher than that of patients after treatment,P<0.01,the difference was statistically significant.The total rate of adverse reactions of patients after treatment in the experiment group was significantly lower than that of patients in the controlled group,P <0.05,and the difference was statistically significant.Conclusions:The combination of TCM and WM in treating sudden deafness delivers significant clinical efficacy,and it is provided with low adverse reaction and high safety,being worthy of wide application and promotion in clinical practice.关键词
