摘要
Abstract
Objective The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of amateurs and ortho⁃dontists with respect to minor variations of mesiodistal incisor crown angulation. Methods The smiling photograph were intentionally altered with one of five common anterior esthetic discrepancies in vary⁃ing degrees of deviation including mesiodistal incisor crown angulation.The images were randomized in a questionnaire and rated according to attractiveness by two groups:orthodontists and amateurs. Results For the effect of Smile aesthetics by different minor variations of mesiodistal incisor crown an⁃gulation,orthodontists were more sensitive than amateurs.Meantime there were statistics differences between these two groups.There were also Statistics differences between young and middle-aged in the amateurs.Young were more sensitive than middle-aged. Conclusion The results of this study show that orthodontists and amateurs detect specific dental esthetic discrepancies at varying levels of deviation, which may aid the orthodontists in making specific treatment recommendations.关键词
