Abstract
Objective To investigate differences in clinical efficacy of microsurgical and non-microsurgical treatment for medial sphenoid ridge meningioma.Methods Forty-two cases of medial sphenoid ridge meningioma in our hospital were ran-domly divided into control group (received non-microsurgical treatment ) and observation group (received microsurgical treat-ment).The Simpson grading ,disability rate ,cure rate and complication rate of two groups were compared.Results The Simp-son grading of observation group was significantly better than that of control group (P<0.05). There was no one case of severe disability and death in observation group. In control group , there were 6 cases (28.6% ) of severe disability and 7 cases (33.3% ) of death ,the difference was statistically significant (P< 0.05).The incidence of complication in observation group was significantly lower than that in control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Microsurgical treatment for medial sphenoid ridge meningioma is effective. It can significantly increase total resection rate of tumor and surgical efficacy ,and reduce morbidity , mortality and the incidence of complications.关键词
