Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between platelet parameters and carotid artery stenosis in patients with ischemic stroke.Methods Ninety-eight patients with acute ischemic stroke and 60 persons for healthy examination were collected from January 2012 to October 2013 in our hospital ,automated blood cell analyzer was used to detect platelet parame-ters ,color Doppler was used to evaluate carotid artery ,and data were compared.Results Platelet count (PLT) of stroke com-plicated with carotid artery stenosis group was the lowest ,and mean platelet volume (MPV) ,platelet distribution width (PDW) of this group was the biggest (P<0.05);whether in the stroke group or the control group ,PLT ,MPV and PDW in patients with carotid artery stenosis were significantly different from those in patients without carotid artery stenosis (P<0.05).The levels of MPV in Ischemic stroke patients in groups with different degree of artery stenosis were significantly different (P<0.05). Correlation analysis found that the MPV level was positively correlated with the degree of carotid stenosis (P<0.05).Conclusion Platelet parameters in patients with ischemic stroke are closely related to the degree of carotid stenosis.关键词
