Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationships between the suicide risk and risk factors in adult patients with epi-lepsy.Methods Two hundred and eleven adult patients with epilepsy in our hospital were evaluated by the suicide and depres-sive disorder module of mini international neuropsychiatric interview (MINI) ,and then the age ,gender ,employment status , marital status ,education years ,onset age ,seizure types ,seizure frequency ,epilepsy duration ,MRI result and antiepileptic drug types of these patients were recorded.The relationship between the above factors and suicide risk was compared.Results The suicide risk of epilepsy patients was 21.3% (45/211) ,and the depressive disorder of patients was 17.1% (36/211);the suicide risk was 75.0% (27/36) in epilepsy patients associated with depressive disorder ,10.3% (18/175) in epilepsy patients associated without depressive disorder ,respectively.Conclusion The suicide risk is higher in patients with depressive disorder.关键词
