Effect of psychological support therapy on the psychological and physiological status of patients with post-stroke depression and their caregivers

Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of psychological support therapy on the psychological and physiological sta‐tus of patients with post‐stroke depression (PSD) and their caregivers.Methods 60 patients with PSD and 60 caregivers were randomly divided into intervention group (including 30 patients and 30 caregivers ,treated with conventional treatment plus psy‐chological support) and control group (including 30 patients and 30 caregivers ,treated with conventional treatment). The cura‐tive effect of two groups was evaluated by HAMD ,SAS ,SDS ,ADL and SSS before and after treatment.Results The above scores of patients with PSD after support therapy were lower than these before support therapy. The psychological status of caregivers after support therapy was better than these before support therapy.Conclusion Psychological intervention can sig‐nificantly improve the depression state and promote the recovery of patients with PSD and their caregivers.关键词
