Abstract
Objective To investigate the correlation of plasma homocysteine (Hcy) and high‐sensitivity C‐reactive protein (hs‐CRP) with elderly patients with cerebral infarction. Methods The plasma Hcy and hs‐CRP of 82 elderly patients with cer‐ebral infarction and 80 healthy volunteers were determinated by the enzymatic cycling and immune turbidimetric method. Results The plasma Hcy and hs‐CRP of elderly patients with cerebral infarction were higher than these of healthy volunteers. The heavier the neurological function impairment was, the higher the plasma Hcy and hs‐CRP was. Pearson correlation points indi‐cated that the Hcy and hs‐CRP level had positive correlation with the neurological function deficit degree of elderly patients with cerebral infarction (r=0.89, 0.78, P<0.05). Conclusion The Hcy and hs‐CRP level had positive correlation with the neuro‐logical function deficit degree of elderly patients with cerebral infarction.关键词
