Abstract
Objective To investigate the weaning program from mechanical ventilation of patients with severe neurological diseases in ICU.Methods Totally 66 patients with severe neurological disease and received mechanical ventilation ≥24h in ICU were randomly divided into observation group and control group ,33 cases in each group. The observation group underwent protocol weaning program ,the empirical weaning program. Results The duration of mechanical ventilation ,ICU stay time and total hospitalization time in observation group were significantly shorter than the control group (P<0.05);the weaning suc‐cess rate in the observation group was 69.7% ,significantly higher than 42.4% in the control group(P<0.05);the VAP inci‐ dence ,tracheotomy rate ,re‐intubation rate and mortality during hospitalization in the observation group were significantly low‐er than the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Protocol weaning program from mechanical ventilation of patients with severe neurological diseases in ICU can effectively improve weaning success rate ,reduce the incidence of complications ,and shorten the duration of mechanical ventilation and length of hospital stay ,it should be widely applied.关键词
