摘要

Abstract

Limestone red soil and basaltic red soil in Kunming Bailongtan and Hualian were taken to study the soil moisture. The results showed that limestone red soil and basalt red soil had small differences in natural water content and field capacity;but limestone red soil of effective moisture was lower 5.856 percentage points than basalt red soil ,initial languish humidity was higher 4.023 5 percentage points than basalt red soil ,permanent wilting humidity was higher 4.406 5 percentage points than basalt red soil ,maximum hygroscopicity was lower 4.572 5 percentage points than basalt red soil. So differences in limestone red soil and basalt red soil effective soil water content in Kunming was an important cause of these two kinds of soil vegetation growth status difference.
