Abstract
Based on the cloud-to-ground lightning data in 2008,which was collected by the lightning location system composed of 13 lightning detectors,the spatial and temporal characteristics of thunderstorm in Yunnan Province were analyzed.Meanwhile,the characteristics of the lightning hazard were analyzed with lightning disaster statistics on the same period in Yunnan Province.The results showed that lightning density up to its maximum in the central part of Yunnan Province,was gradually reduced radiation.On the same latitude,thunderstorm activity was more frequent in the east than in the west.The diurnal variation of lightning activity in Yunnan Province showed a single peak-valley type and thunderstorm activity was most frequent from May to September.Lightning disaster occurred mainly from April to September,electricity and communications sectors were most severely affected.关键词
