摘要
Abstract
The Love Wife Iis a novel with innovative narrative skills.With its multiple narrative strategies such as dialogic nar-rative, embedded narrative and carnivalesque narrative, the novel exhibits a world of text with uncertain meaning as well as the subtle and complex relationship among various minority groups in the American society .The dialogic narrative responds to such postmodern aesthetics as the rejection of sameness and the denial of absolute truth , while the open ending resulting from the “un-finished” embedded narrative and carnivalesque narrative suggest Gish Jen ’ s critique of western mainstream ideology and subver-sion of eastern imaginary community .关键词
