Abstract

Two-dimensional inclined Poiseuille flow was mimicked using lattice Bhatnagar-Gross-Krook (LBGK)Boltzmann model and multiple-relaxation-time (MRT)lattice Boltzmann model under bounce-back and curved boundary conditions.Error in wall shear stress measurement was compared under various inclining angles,grid sizes,and Reynolds numbers.Data showed that the curved scheme could compute more accurately wall shear stress when assessed on the fluid nodes closest to the wall.Under bounce-back boundary condition, wall shear stress should be computed on fluid nodes nearest to nodes which are closest to the wall.MRT scheme is slightly superior to LBGK for assessment of wall shear stress.
