摘要

Abstract

The fact that graduate English teaching in China has laid too much emphasis on the input activities rather than the output ac-tivities causes English teachers to consume much time in teaching but progress inefficiently. Output driving hypothesis provides a new perspective for graduate English teaching reform. This paper analyzes the theoretical background of output driving hypothesis, functions and its application in teaching practice, and then puts forward several implications of the hypothesis for graduate English teaching.
