A Research on How to Improve Students’ Listening and Speaking Skills from the Prospective of Applied Talent Cultivation-A Case of Liaoning University of International Business and Economics

Abstract
Social and economic development calls badly for practical talents. As a public basic course, college English teaching, espe-cially listening and speaking teaching, should undertake the great mission and social obligation. Hence, it is important to attach great importance to cultivating and training student’ s practical skills, select, introduce and make full use of the excellent online self-learning course, and accordingly establish certain new teaching mode. Only in this way, can listening and speaking teaching be more practical and effective, can it help students improve their English listening and speaking skills, professional English skills and core competence as well.关键词
