摘要

Abstract

Objective: To explore the clinical application of blood oxygenation level-dependent MRI for the assessment of diabetic nephropathy (DN).Materials and Methods:Eleven cases of healthy volunteers (control group), 19 cases with early-stage DN and 15 cases with moderate- to severe-stage (MS-stage) DN were scanned by BOLD-MRI. The three parameters, including cortical R2* value (CR2*), medullary R2* value (MR2*) and R2* ratio of the medullary R2* value to cortical R2* value (MCR), were measured and calculated.Results: The MR2* was higher than CR2*in each group (P<0.01). MR2* was significantly different between the normal control group and early-stage DN group (P<0.01), and area under receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) was 0.940. Both CR2* and MCR were signiifcantly different between the early-stage and MS-stage DN groups (P<0.01). AUCs were 0.884 and 0.764, respectively, and there was no significant difference between them (P>0.05). CR2* correlated inversely with eGFR (P<0.01), while MCR correlated positively (P<0.05). The three parameters showed no significant correlation with HbA1c (P>0.05).Conclusions:BOLD-MRI could relfect renal injury in diabetic nephropathy and had a potential value for clinical application.
