摘要

Abstract

TIN could be regarded as the rough expression of landform approximation. According to this characteris-tic two kinds of slicing calculation method to calculate viewshed approximately were put forward in this paper. Through the analysis of the influence factors of viewshed error the slicing calculation method had been optimized and the realization process had been given. Combined with the actual landform TIN data an exact algorithm and two kinds of slicing algorithm before and after the optimization had been compared and evaluated on the error meas-ure and running time the conclusion that the optimized rotating slicing algorithm was superior to other approxima-ting viewshed calculation methods was gained furthermore its operating efficiency was higher than the known accu-rate calculation methods in the range of necessary error.
