Earliest Foreign Postmark in China
摘要
Abstract
Before the Opium War,Macao and Canton had been the important treaty ports and the Sino-Western exchange center.In order to satisfy the needs of post communication,Portugal and British built the earliest illegal post office in China and used the earliest postmark.The foreign postmark in China had been through many different changes that not only reflected the change of Chinese postal rights aggressive policy,the invasion of Chinese witness,but also provided a valuable data for further research on Sino-Western relations in the Qing dynasty.关键词
