Abstract
Mathematics curriculum in secondary vocational schools should be basic, instrumental, flexible, selec⁃tive, interesting and practicable as well.“The Mathematics Syllabus of Secondary Vocational Schools”issued by the Ministry of Education in 2009 embodies the spirit of ability concept. The new textbook“Mathematics”in Jiang⁃su province well presents the distinct characteristics of being basic and practical. Based on the mathematics sylla⁃bus, great importance should be attached to the individual differences of secondary school vocational students, mathematical thinking should be organically permeated, the concept of professional service should be strengthened and the principle of being“basic and practical”should also be embodied when mathematics is taught to the stu⁃dents.关键词
