Abstract
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of Jichuan Zaoran San combined with FOLFOX4 chemother-apy for the treatment of advanced colorectal cancer.Methods Twenty four patients of advanced-stage color-ectal cancer patients were aretrospective analyzed,all of whom were treated using FOLFOX4 chemothera-py regimen.Herbs prescribed complying with the method of Jichuan Zaoran San were applied during chemotherapy and for 2 weeks after completion of chemotherapy.Recent treatment effects,toxic side-effects and changes in quality of life were observed.Results Of the recent treatment effects,3 samples were CR,6 samples were PR,12 samples were SD,3 samples were PD,9 samples were CR+PR,which constituted 37.5%.21 samples were CR+PR+SD,which constituted 87.5%.Toxic side-effects mainly included nausea,vomiting and diarrhea,most of which were light to medium degree.Bonem arrow sup-pression effects were mostly light to medium degree.In general,all patients had good tolerance.In as-sessment of patients'quality of life,Karnofsky score after treatments decreased as compared to that before treatments.Since the decrease in Karnofsky score was<10,the quality of life was considered as stable. Conclusion Applying the method of Jichuan Zaoran San combined with FOLFOX4 chemotherapy in treat-ment of advanced-stage colorectal cancer,which may enable patients who lost the opportunity of operation or originally unable to tolerate chemotherapy due to old age to regain treatment opportunities,might re-duce toxicity and enhance treatment effects,as well as elevate patients'quality of life.关键词
