油气管道缺陷漏磁检测数据压缩算法研究
Research on Data Compression Algorithm of MFL Detection for Oil and Gas Pipelines

Abstract
Considering the massive original data together with limited data storing space and processing speed , it is quite necessary to study a fast, efficient and diagnostically lossless compression algorithm for magnetic flux leakage (MFL) detection.The special requirements of data compression in MFL detection has been analyzed , and a segmented self -a-daptive compression algorithm has been proposed considering the characteristics of the obtained testing data .The MFL data is divided into different segments and recognized .Different compression methods are adopted for different data seg -ments, and the compression ratio and distortion factor will be adjusted by varying the section length and the compression threshold.The MFL detection data of test pipelines with artificial defects are compressed .The results of experiment show that the algorithm will hold high compression ratio while keeping low distortion factor .The algorithm could meet requirements of efficiency , quality and complexity to compress massive MFL data fast and efficiently .关键词
