Abstract
In order to study the feasibility of the new superposition strong excitation system for the synchronous genera-tor,this paper focused on the diode breakdown of the new superposition strong excitation circuit,and the effects of shunt capacitance on the waveform. The Matlab simulation results showed that diode breakdown would have great effects on the excitation system,and especially when short-circuit faults occurred on the main circuit parallel diode, superposition strong excitation would result in failure,so it should be paid special attention to. And the rectified cur-rent flowing of rotor through a shunt capacitor could not produce any smoothing waveform. so this smoothing waveform method is not used in engineering.关键词
