Simulation and verification of five-axis NC EDM of integral turbine blisk based on compressed Voxel model

Abstract
Based on the compressed Voxel model,an approach of simulation and verification of five-axis NC electrical discharge machining (EDM)of integral turbine blisk is presented.Firstly,the compressed Voxel models of machined workpiece of integral turbine blisk and shaped electrode are constructed.Then,the swept volume of shaped electrode is generated according to the NC machining path.Finally,NC electrical discharge machining process is simulated in 3D virtual space.Marching Cubes method is applied to extract the surface triangular mesh of machined workpiece.The display quality of the machined workpiece and display speed are improved.A verification method of the machined workpiece is proposed through error analysis with CAD model of the integral turbine blisk. The method is feasible in simulation and verification of five-axis NC EDM programming of integral turbine blisk of space rocket engine.关键词
