Necessity of Speeding up the Legislation for Animal Welfare in China
摘要
Abstract
In the western countries,the formulation of the animal welfare legislation can date back to the middle of mid-19th century.Up to now,a mature legislation system has already been developed in these countries.In China,on the other hand,although some laws and regulations regarding animal welfare have been issued,a rational legislation system is still demanding due to the misconceptions of animal welfare. The aim of this paper was to discuss the necessity of speeding up the animal welfare legislation in China, from various points of views,such as ethics,law,animal physiology,sociology,environmental hygiene and public health.关键词
