Competitive Mechanism for Iron between Animal Intestinal Epithelial Cells and Bacterial Pathogens
摘要
Abstract
Iron ( Fe) is a vital nutrient for all living organisms. Bacterial pathogens must acquire Fe from host for growth and proliferation, which is the preconditon of bacteria infection. This review summarizes Fe uptake pathways and competitive mechanism of host and intestinal tract bacteria, and discusses the effects of Fe on the intestinal tract microflora, which will provide new references for Fe supplement in piglet production.关键词
