摘要

Abstract

This experiment was conducted to study the effects of dietary alfalfa meals ( AM) or fermented al?falfa meals ( FAM ) on growth performance, serum antioxidant enzyme and digestive enzyme activities of geese. A total of 162 Shitou geese were randomly assigned to 9 groups with 3 replicates per group and 6 geese per replicate. Geese in the control group were fed a basal diet, and the others were fed the experimental diets supplemented with 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% AM or FAM, respectively. The results showed as follows: 1) dietary AM or FAM had significant quadratic and interaction effects on average daily gain ( ADG ) of geese (P<0.05), but had no significant linear and interaction effects on average daily feed intake (P>0.05), also had no significant effect on feed/gain ( P>0.05) . Compared with the control group, the 10% FAM group had the best ADG, and increased by 16.49% ( P<0.05) . 2) Dietary AM had significant interaction effect on serum glutathione peroxidase ( GSH?Px) , superoxide dismutase ( SOD) and catalase ( CAT) activities and malonal?dehyde ( MDA) content ( P<0.05) . The serum GSH?Px, SOD and CAT activities in 5%, 10% AM and 10%FAM groups had no significant difference compared with those in control group ( P>0. 05 ) , but the other groups had significant difference compared with those in control group ( P<0.05) . 3) Dietary AM had no sig?nificant effect on the activities of trypsin in stomach, lipase in pancreas and trypsin and lipase in duodenum ( P<0.05) . Dietary AM or FAM had significant quadratic and interaction effect on the activity of trypsin and amylase in pancreas. The activities of trypsin in stomach, amylase in pancreas and amylase in duodenum in 10% AM group were significantly higher than those in control group ( P<0.05) , but had no significant differ?ence compared with those in 5% AM group ( P>0.05) . In conclusion, dietary supplemented with AM or FAM can promote the growth of geese, and improve the serum antioxidant enzyme and digestive enzyme activities. Dietary supplemented FAM has the better effect.
