摘要

Abstract

Biodiversity is the foundation of the survival and development of cities. It is also the guarantee for the sustainable development of urban eco-system. Based on ecology theory and a case study of eco-restoration of Haizhu Eco-town in Guangzhou, it ilustrated how a distinctive eco model area with the charm of Lingnan Region of Rivers and Lakes was created and how a flower city, water city and green city was built with Wan-mu Orchard wetland as the core of biodiversity restoration. It proposed the eco-biodiversity restoration goals and objectives for Haizhu District and elaborated on wetland habitat partition, habitat restoration, water environment improvement, species selection of restoration, and regional biodiversity construction. It also put forward the planning strategies for the biodiversity restoration of the wetlands of Eco-town in Haizhu.
