Abstract
Facing the problem of the lack of American undergraduate curriculum system research and landscape architecture education curriculum arrangement in China, this study takes Landscape Architecture undergraduate curriculum of the Pennsylvania State University (PSU) as a research objective and analyzes the proportion of courses in different types of curriculums through the methods of content analysis, comparative research, investigation and interview. This paper concludes that curriculum arrangement of undergraduate education for Landscape Architecture major in PSU has four characters, which are: emphasis on basic education about the natural and social sciences, emphasis on training of writing and presentation skils, graduation and sequence of curriculum, as wel as close connection between design studies and basic curriculums. At the end, this paper makes a brief analysis of the characteristics of diverse teaching methods. Through analysis of the curriculum arrangement, it is expected to be helpful for the development of Chinese landscape architecture undergraduate curriculum arrangement.关键词
