Abstract
Objective To compare the clinical effect of Letrozole and Clomiphene in ovulation induction with IUI cycles of the patients with unexplained infertility.Method This was a retrospective cohort study of the patients who underwent ovulation induction with IUI treatment, between Jan. 2011 and Dec. 2012, in a university hospital. A total of 201 IUI cycles were included. The Letrozole group included 173 IUI cycles, while 28 cycles with Clomiphene constituted as the Clomiphene group. Ovulation induction performance and IUI outcome were compared between the two groups.Result The number of follicles with diameter>14mm and the peak E2 level were higher in Clomiphene group compared with the Letrozole Group. No differences were found in other ovulation induction parameters. Patients undergoing ovulation induction with Letrozole and those with Clomiphene obtained comparable IUI outcomes, in terms of pregnancy rate and live birth rate.Conclusion This study suggests similar clinical effects of Letrozole and Clomiphene in patients with unexplained infertility.关键词
