Vitapex 诱导成人患牙根尖成形的疗效评价
Clinical effects of apexification with Vitapex in adults

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical effects of Vitapex to treat the open apices teeth with chronic apical pe-riodontitis or pulp necrosis in adult patients.Methods A total of 44 teeth were collected, including 28 anterior teeth and 16 premolars.The teeth were divided into 2 groups randomly, with 22 cases each in experimental group and control group respectively.The root canal of all cases were prepared and sterilized, then Vitapex was applied to experimental groups while calcium hydroxide paste was applied to control group.All the root canals were filled when the apical barrier could be detected.The cases were recalled regularly, and given the clinical and radiographic evaluation.Results The apical barrier were attained in 27 cases after a 6 month ~2 years recall, and 17 cases among which were observed in ex-perimental group, with an efficacy rate of 77.3%, while the other 10 cases were in control group, with an efficacy rate of 45.5%.There was a significant difference between the 2 groups (P<0.05).Conclusion Vitapex has good effects to treat teeth with open apices in adult patients.关键词
