摘要
Abstract
Gantian 3 is a newly bred sweet corn variety by parental combination of inbred line J-tian 26 with J-tian 01. The average fresh ear yield of the variety reaches 15 875.1 kg/hm2,which is 11.05% higher than that of the checkin in the regional test conducted in the period 2008-2009 in Guangdong province . The results shows that plant height is 194.5 cm,with strong seedlings growth,semi-compacted adult plant stem,robust plant growth,good green-holding capacties,well developed root system,and reliable resistance to lodging,the average growth duration is 70 days from germination to harvesting . The results indicates that the weight of single ear is 322.5 g,thousand kernec weight 355.5 g,seed production rate 70.98%,fist-classear rate 83.5%,with tube like shape and yellow grain. The soluble sugar content in grain is 23.46% in milky stage with good palatability. It is resistant to sheath blight,stem rot disease,large blotch,leaf blight. It is stuitable to be grown in spring and autumn in Guangdong and other regions of southern China with similar ecological conditions.关键词
