Preparation and Mechanical Properties of Al2O3-TiCN/Co-Ni Composite Ceramics

Abstract
The Al2O3-TiC0.5N0.5/Co-Ni composite ceramic material was prepared by a powder metallurgy vacuum hot-pressing sintering method. The influence of the sintering parameters on the microstructure and mechanical properties was investigated by scanning electron microscope, energy dispersive spectrometer, electronic universal tester and Vickers hardness tester, respectively. The results show that the maximum relative density, the maximum flexural strength (σmax), the fracture toughness (KICmax) and the Vickers hardness (HV) of the material prepared at the sintering temperature of 1 650 ℃, the pressure of 25MPa and the heat treatment time of 30 min are 99.6%, 1 100 MPa, 10.5 MPa·m1/2 and 23.7 GPa, respectively, and the fracture characteristic of the material is the mixed crystal fracture characteristic.关键词
