Abstract
Objective:To explore the relationship between Matrix metalloproteinase 9 and Homocysteine in vascular pathological changes of type 2 diabete patients. Methods: The serum MMP9 and Hcy were determined in 66 patients with type 2 diabetes(including 20 cases of type 2 diabetes without complication,22 cases of type 2 diabetes macroangiopathy and 24 cases of diabetic nephropathy) and 20 healthy controls in which clinical and biochemical data were analysed. Results: MMP9 and Hcy concentration in type 2 diabetes with macroangiopathy group were high than that in serum of type 2 diabetes group and normal group, but were lower than that in diabetic nephropathy. Serum MMP9 was correlated positively with LDL、 CHO、TG、blood pressure、Hcy and correlated negatively with HDL . Conclusion: There is important clinical significance of detection of MMP9 in serum and Hcy concentration on vascular complications in occurrence and development of type 2 diabetes.关键词
