摘要

Abstract

Effects of nano-and micro-Al particles on combustion characteristics of low smoke NEPE propellant were experimen-tally studied by means of laser diffraction,SEM,TG,high-speed photography and elemental analysis,etc. The results indicate that nano-Al particles,compared with micro-Al particles,show the advantages such as small diameter,high reactivity,low ignition energy and strong heat feedback to combustion surface of the propellant, which increase burning rates of the propellant significantly by 150.7%~195.0%(1~2 0 MPa),and the burning rate exponents increase from 0.57 to 0.68(1~10 MPa)and decrease 0.75 to 0.49 (10~20 MPa).It was found that the content of active aluminum(77.72%)in nano-Al particles is obviously lower than that of micro-Al particles (98.72%),while the explosion heats of the propellants containing nano-Al are similar to the propellants with micro-Al since nano-Al particles have higher reactivity.
