Effects of interferences on MIMO visible light communication system performances

Abstract
Visible Light Communication (VLC)technology is considered to be a promising solution to the future indoor wireless communications.In this paper,we investigate the effects of various external interferences on the performance of optical Multi-ple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO)systems.On the basis of an indoor MIMO VLC system model,we first derive the system BER expression and analyze the relationships between the BER and different factors.Then,in line with this expression,we an-alyze in detail the effects of different types of interferences on the BER.Finally,we simulate the interference scenarios in prac-tical conditions and give the basis for distinguishing different interferences and making reasonable handover decision on the basis of the simulation result analysis.关键词
