摘要

Abstract

Objective To study the effect of Didu decoction enema therapy on indoxyl sulfate content in serum and urine in 5/6 nephrectomy rats. Methods Eight SD rats were randomly selected as the control group and 72 SD rats were carried on 5/6 nephrectomy. Sixty rats,which were successfully modeled,were divided into the pathological control group,the medicinal charcoal tablets treatment group and three Didu enema treatment groups with high,middle and low doses. After 56 days treatment,the creatinine and urea nitrogen content in serum were measured, and the content of indoxyl sulfate in serum and urine was determined by HPLC-MS. Results The contents of creatinine and urea nitrogen in serum and the level in serum indoxyl sulfate were significantly decreased in the Didu decoction enema therapy groups and the medicinal charcoal tablets treatment group (P<0.05). Moreover,the high and middle dose groups were better than the medicinal charcoal tablets treatment group ( P<0.05) . The content of urinary indoxyl sulfate decreased significantly in high and middle dose groups and the medicinal charcoal tablets treatment group (P<0.05). Moreover,the high dose group was better than the medicinal charcoal tablets treatment group ( P<0.05) . Conclusion Didu decoction enema may play a protective effect on renal failure by decreasing the content of indoxyl sulfate content in serum and urine.
