Abstract
Objective To investigate the oral health status of children in kindergartens in Haidian District and provide evidence for intervention measures .Methods An investigation was carried out on children ’ s oral health from January to December 2012, and the annual report data of oral examination of kindergartens of Haidian District in Beijing was analyzed .Results The rate of dental caries prevention was 100%in kindergartens in Haidian District .The prevalence of kindergarten children ’ s dental caries , treatment rate of caries and the filling rate of caries was 53.19%, 61.37% and 49.32%, respectively.They grew upward with age (χ2 value was 1 211.28, 1 933.92 and 5649.82, respectively, all P<0.05).The children aged 4 to 5 years were the high-risk population with dental caries.Conclusion The prevention of dental caries is good in kindergartens in Haidian District .The future work should be strengthened on the prevention of dental caries of children aged 3 to 4 years.Prevention of dental caries should be carried out among young children in community .The knowledge and skills of health education should be improved by the doctors in kindergarten and health care propaganda needs to be strengthened for parents.关键词
