Abstract
Objective To investigate the serum levels and significance of vascular endothelial growth factor ( VEGF ) and its receptor soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase receptor 1 ( sFlt-1 ) in pregnant women with preeclampsia .Methods Totally 60 pregnant women with preeclampsia were selected in study group during the period of August 2011 to March 2012, including 30 cases with mild preeclampsia and 30 with severe preeclampsia .Another 30 normal women in late pregnancy were selected in control group .The levels of VEGF and sFlt-1 in two groups were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).Results The serum levels of VEGF in preeclampsia group at late pregnancy and postpartum were significantly lower than those in control group (t value was -160.762 and 22.690, respectively, both P<0.001), but the serum levels of sFlt-1 were significantly higher than those in control group ( t value was 18.647 and 47.782, respectively, both P<0.001).The serum levels of VEGF of mild preeclampsia group at late pregnancy and postpartum were significantly higher than those in severe preeclampsia group (t value was 4.869 and 4.626, respectively, both P<0.05).However, the serum levels of sFlt-1 of mild preeclampsia group were significantly lower than those of severe preeclampsia group ( t value was -3.59 and -3.681, respectively, both P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the levels of VEGF and sFlt-1 one week after delivery between two groups (t value was 3.061 and 1.760, respectively, both P>0.05).Conclusion The level of sFlt-1 in serum of preeclampsia patients at late pregnant stage is significantly higher than normal pregnant women , whereas the VEGF level goes down .VEGF as well as sFlt-1 can be used as the indicators for diagnosing preeclampsia .关键词
