Abstract
Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of montmorillonite powder combined with zinc gluconate on infantile acute diarrhea . Methods Between January 2011 and December 2013, 180 children with acute diarrhea were admitted and treated in pediatrics department of Ankang Municipality Center Hospital , and they were divided into experiment group and control group ( n =90 ) in accordance with visiting time.The control group was only treated with routine montmorillonite powder , while the experiment group was given zinc gluconate treatment additionally .The curative effects of two groups were analyzed .Results The total effective rate of the experiment group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was significant (χ2 =6.093,P<0.05).The period for anti-diarrhea, abatement of fever, anti-nausea and correcting dehydration , and average hospitalization stay were significantly shorter in the experiment group than in the control group (t value was 13.923, 10.283, 11.023, 14.831 and 18.532, respectively, all P <0.05).Conclusion Based on conventional montmorillonite powder treatment , combining use of zinc gluconate for children with acute diarrhea can effectively improve their clinical symptoms with high curative rate .关键词
