Abstract
Objective To explore the significance of PET/CT and MRI in diagnosing gynecologic malignant tumors. Methods Forty patients with gynecological malignant tumors accepting PET/CT or MRI examination in Armed Police Corps Hospital of Zhejiang Province were selected from February 2010 to February 2013, and the diagnostic value of two methods on malignant tumors was compared. Results The detection rate of PET/CT and MRI for primary lesion was 87.50%and 60.00%, respectively, and there was no significant difference (χ2 =0.27, P>0.05).The sensitivity and accuracy of PET/CT in diagnosing lymph node metastasis cases were higher than those of MRI, and the differences were significant (χ2 value was 4.59 and 8.66, respectively, both P<0.05).Totally 98 metastatic lymph nodes were detected by the combination of PET/CT and MRI methods, and there were 107 confirmed by surgery. The detection rate of combined examination was 91.58%, which was higher than that of MRI with significant difference (χ2 =43.19, P<0.01).Conclusion PET/CT examination for gynecologic malignant tumors is safe, effective, accurate and sensitive. It can detect the accurate number of metastatic lymph nodes, which is very important to the diagnosis and treatment of gynecological malignant tumors in clinics.关键词
