Abstract
Objective To detect serum 25-hydroxy vitamin D3[25-(OH)D3] levels and T cell subsets in acute phase of Kawasaki disease ( KD) and to analyze the relationship between them and KD coronary artery damage as well as possible mechanisms.Methods According to echocardiography, 35 cases of KD in Xi’an Children’s Hospital were divided into coronary artery lesion (CAL) group (n=9) and non-coronary artery lesion (NCAL) group (n=26).Another 25 cases of healthy children were selected as controls.Serum 25-(OH)D3 levels at acute phase and T lymphocyte subsets were detected for data analysis.Results Serum 25-( OH) D3 level of CAL group was significantly higher than that of NCAL group (t=3.681, P=0.001).At the same time, CD4/CD8 was significantly higher in CAL group than in NCAL group (t=2.032,P=0.050).Conclusion The study shows that 25-(OH)D3 participates in KD coronary artery damage, which may due to its influence on the distribution of T cell subsets.关键词
