Abstract
Objective To study the relationship between serum levels of human chorionic gonadotropin ( hCG ) , progestin ( P ) and estradiol ( E2 ) and threatened abortion in the first trimester of pregnancy. Methods A total of 150 gravidas with threatened abortion and treated in Zhongshan Boai Hospital were chosen in study group, and 300 normal gravidas were chosen at the same period in control group. The serum levels of hCG, P and E2 were compared between two groups, and the correlation between clinical features and serum sex hormone levels was analyzed. Results The hCG levels of the study group at 8 +1 -10 weeks and 10 +1 -12 weeks were significantly lower than those in the control group (t value was 7. 987 and 3. 656, respectively, both P<0. 05). The P levels of the study group at <6 weeks and 6-8 weeks were significantly lower than those in the control group (t value was 4. 326 and 3. 441, respectively, both P<0. 05). The E2 levels of the study group at <6 weeks, 6-8 weeks, 8 +1 -10 weeks and 10 +1 -12 weeks were significantly lower than those in the control group (t value was 8. 266, 6. 152, 7. 223 and 7. 2057, respectively, all P<0. 05). In 150 cases of threatened abortion, 101 (67. 33%) were positive. Positive sex hormone levels in threatened abortion were significantly correlated with maternal age and gestational weeks (χ2 value was 9. 067 and 8. 826, respectively, both P<0. 05), but were not obviously correlated with the number of pregnancy and BMI (χ2 value was 3. 241 and 3. 417, respectively, both P>0. 05). Conclusion Compared with normal gravidas, the levels of hCG, P and E2 in gravidas with threatened abortion are relatively lower. The decline of the levels of three kinds of hormone can help to diagnose abortion caused by luteal phase defect.关键词
