Abstract
Objective To investigate the ultrasonographic features of partial hydatidiform mole to establish a proper diagnosis. Methods Retrospective analysis was conducted on the history, pathological results and ultrasonographic features of 35 cases diagnosed as partial hydatidiform mole (29 cases diagnosed by ultrasound examination and 6 cases by histopathology) from January 2013 to December 2014 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’ an Jiaotong University. Results Among 29 cases diagnosed as partial hydatidiform mole by ultrasound examination, 25 cases were confirmed by histopathology, and the diagnosis coincidence rate was 86. 2% (25/29). There were 4 cases misdiagnosed, including missed abortion in 2 cases, incomplete abortion in 1 case and myoma degeneration in 1 case. Among 6 cases diagnosed as partial hydatidiform mole by histopathology but missed diagnosed by ultrasound examination, there were 3 cases of missed abortion by ultrasound diagnosis, 1 case of incomplete abortion, 1 case of myoma degeneration, and 1 case of complete hydatidiform mole. Conclusion Ultrasonography combined with history can diagnose the majority of partial hydatidiform mole, but the untypical cases usually need combining pathology with laboratory examination for diagnosis.关键词
