Transforming growth factor β signaling pathway and its potential in regulating the components and functions of vascular vessels

Abstract
Transforming growth factor(TGF)β, a growth factor secreted by different cells, has been demonstrated to possess a variety of biological effects. Recent evidence has associated the TGFβ signaling pathway withthe regulation of angiogenesis and vascular stability. Extensive studies on the signaling pathway of TGFβ and its potential role in vascular regulation have been reported. In this review, the effects of the TGFβ signaling pathway on the regulation of vascular endothelial cells, smooth muscle cells, and vascular membrane, are discussed.关键词
