摘要

Abstract

Samarium 153 is one of the most common medical radioisotopes. Due to its advantages in treatment and imaging, Samarium 153 is widely used in clinic and scientific research. The beta ray emitted by Samarium 153 has features of short range, high energy and rapidly decayed energy out of range, and is suitable for clinical internal irradiation therapy of malignant tumor and other diseases. The energy of gamma ray emitted by Samarium 153 is moderate and is suitable for gamma scintillation acquisition imaging. Meanwhile, after coupling a variety of compounds, different functions of radionuclide imaging can be used in clinical diagnoses and research. In this article, we reviewed the recent relevant medical literatures of radionuclide Samarium 153, and discussed its potential clinical value.
