Abstract
May-Thurner syndrome (MTS) is one of the major reasons of venous thrombosis of lower limbs and pulmonary embolism, and its incidence is often underestimated. Intravascular ultrasound is reliable and expensive, but capable of endovascular treatment. The degree of iliac vein compression is obviously exaggerated on magnetic resonance imaging. CT and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) are widely applied,and the main standard methods for the diagnosis of MTS. Indirect CT venography is easy to implement, and has been widely applied. Direct CT venography method is accompanied by edge flow effects, and is not widely applied. Treatment can be performed by implementation of stent or balloon dilation during DSA procedure. The progresses of these medical imaging research were reviewed in this paper.关键词
