摘要

Abstract

Magnetic resonance (MR) imaging of cartilage physiology is a new technology for the early evaluation of ar-ticular cartilage damage. By examining the changes in the cartilage matrix of biochemical reactions ingredient content and physical structure of cartilage, the abnormal cartilage damage can be evaluated. Compared with conventional imaging tech-niques, MR imaging of cartilage physiology can detect cartilage damage before cartilage morphological change. In addition, MR imaging of cartilage physiology is very important in triggering early intervention and assessing treatment response. The re-search and application of MR imaging physiological techniques began with knee joint. The principle, progress in basic re-search and clinical application of MR imaging of cartilage physiology were reviewed in this article.
