Abstract
Objective: To explore the characteristics of clinicopathology, diagnostic criteria and differential diagnosis of benign metastasizing leiomyoma (BML).Methods: The clinical data, histopathologic observation and immunohistochemical staining were studied in one case of BML, the related literatures were reviewed. Results:Microscopic examination of this case showed that the morphology was similar to the uterine leiomyoma, and the tumor was composed of spindle cell without marked nuclear atypia and mitosis. Immunohistochemically, ER, PR, SMA, and calponin were strong positive.Conclusion: BML is very rare tumor, and the lung is the major site of metastasis. It is easily confused with other tumor leading to misdiagnosis. It is essential to avoid misdiagnosis with raising awareness.关键词
