摘要
Abstract
ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of functional electrical stimulation on walking ability in stroke patients with foot drop. Methods: fifty-five stroke patients were randomly assigned into observation group (28 cases) and control group (27 cases). The two groups had received normal rehabilitation therapy. The patients in the observation group had received functional electrical stimulation in addtion. Treatment lasted for 5 weeks . Assessment were performed before and after the treatment, including Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA), Functional Ambulation Category (FAC) and foot-print analysis. Results: After treatment, FAM, FAC and foot-print analysis in the both groups were increased compared with those at pretreatment ( <0.05), and the parameters in the obser-vation group were obviously higher than those in the control group ( <0.05). Conclusion: Functional electrical stimulation with normal rehabilitation therapy was more effective than routine rehabilitation therapy in improving walking ability in stroke patients with foot drop.关键词
