Abstract
Furfural is an important organic chemical material with vast application prospect. Pentosan is abundant in bagasse, which could be a source of furfural. However, bagasse was always served as fuel after drying treatment. In this study, methyl sulfonic acid acted as catalyst, bagasse was used as raw material to prepare furfural by catalyzed hydrolysis reaction under microwave heating. Through single factor experiment, the yield of furfural is analyzed by the reaction time, reaction pressure, liquid-solid ratio and methyl sulfonic acid concentration. Results showed that the effects on the yield were ranked as follows: liquid-solid ratio >reaction pressure > methyl sulfonic acid concentration > reaction time. The optimal conditions for the preparation are liquid-solid ratio of 89:1, reaction pressure of 1.3 MPa, methyl sulfonic acid concentration of 3.5% and reaction time of 12 minutes. Under these conditions, the highest yield of furfural is 13.37%.关键词
